/warn
Description#
Records a warning against a member in the moderation log. Nothing happens on Discord's side: a warning is the paper trail that later action builds on, and rules can escalate on accumulated violations separately.
Parameters#
| parameter | required | what it is | notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| user | yes | The member to warn | |
| reason | yes | Why, recorded in the moderation log |
Permissions#
You: administrators can always use moderation commands, and the server's command gating (which channels and which roles may use them) applies to everyone else. The bot: nothing special: warnings are the bot's own records.
